Recommendation
of Environmental Performance Verification for Concrete Structures (draft)
The English translation of the Recommendation of Environmental Performance Verification for Concrete Structures (draft) has been published. Although it is extremely important to evaluate how the construction of civil engineering structures contributes to economic and environmental benefits as a means of fulfilling social accountability, only a few comprehensive studies have been conducted, especially concerning environmental benefits. This Recommendation (draft) is intended to extend the application of the performance verification concepts, which are currently utilized by the JSCE Standard Specifications for Concrete Structures, to the environment. The introduction of the concepts of genvironmental performanceh related to concrete structures and its verification is a new aspect of this Recommendation (draft) and is considered a significant attempt. |
