The production of R&D work in Japan is and has always been outstanding, both at the academic and industrial level. Unfortunately, few people around the world are able to read Japanese and, therefore, the bulk of the Japanese R&D production remains unkown to the rest of the world. I think that the JSCE Newsletter is an excellent vehicle to spread the Japanese scientific and technical contribution on concrete worldwide. I found particularly useful the English translation of JSCE Standards. Perhaps an overview of the JSCE Concrete Subcommitees dealing with concrete could be useful to know the areas of activities covered and for exploring cooperation with similar committees elsewhere. |
