企画テーマ 企画テーマ(英訳)	人口減少下の空間分析−理論と実証 Urban and Regional Analyses under Population Decline: Theory and Empirics
企画概要	少子高齢化に伴う人口の量的・質的な変化は，空間分析を目的とするモデルにとってもパラダイムの変更を迫るものと言える。既存の都市モデルの多くは，人口増加に基づく都市成長を前提にしているが，人口減少は旧市街地の空洞化など，動学的な視点が不可欠な問題を含む。また公共施設を例に取ると，人口の量的減少は施設の維持を困難にするが，同時に生じる質的な変化は必要とされる施設の種類を変化させる。施設の撤退或いは統合を論じるには，既存の立地モデルは不十分である。本セッションでは前年に引き続き，都市・地域モデルにおいて人口の量的・質的な変化を考慮する為の枠組みについて，実証分析を含めて議論したい。
企画概要(英訳)	Quantitative and qualitative changes in population caused by declining birthrate and aging population may urge paradigm shifts in models of spatial analysis. While most of existing urban models postulate urban growth due to increasing population, decrease may cause the inner-city problem, where dynamic aspects are indispensable. The public service facilities may be considered as another example affected by population changes. While quantitative decline will make subsistence of facilities difficult, qualitative change will demand kinds of services they provide to change. In this regard, existing location models are inadequate to describe withdrawal or integration of facilities. As continuance from the previous year, the session is intended for discussion on a variety of frameworks, including empirical ones, which can handle quantitative and qualitative changes in population.
