企画テーマ 企画テーマ(英訳)	信号機からの情報提供支援 Information provision from traffic signals
企画概要	交通信号機は交差点の交通を制御し，渋滞損失や事故の危険を少なくするのに欠かすことのできないシステムとなっている．これまで交通信号機は，信号灯器からの３色および矢印現示による交通制御が主に行われているが，LED信号機の普及により，可視光通信や文字情報提供などにより新たな情報提供・交通制御の可能性に対する研究が増えてきている．本セッションでは，最近の交通信号機の新たな情報提供におけるいくつかの話題を提供し，今後の可能性を探る．
企画概要(英訳)	Traffic signals are absolutely essential for suppressing traffic congestion and accidents in intersections. Although traffic signals conventionally control traffics by using mainly 3-colors and green arrow phases, the new researches for LED types of traffic signals that provide appropriate information to vehicles by using LED (light-emitting diode) messages in any characters and visible light communications technology. In this session we discuss about new types of information technology around traffic signals.
