講演者：Allen L. Clark博士（East-West Center）
講演タイトル： Urbanization and the Shifting Economic of Disasters
概要(Overview)： Dr. Clark will discuss the role of urbanization in placing ever increasing numbers of individuals and economic enterprises at risk. He will discuss the challenge faced by governments and cities which was posed by the "new normal" of disasters.
Dr. Allen L Clark's Short Bio:
He is the Director of the East-West Center's Governance and Disaster Management program and a specialist on the impact of climate change on urban environments and the development of resilience based disaster management and humanitarian assistance programs. He previously served as executive director of Pacific Disaster Center.
アレンL.クラーク博士 略歴:
1960年に米国議会が創設した米国研究機関East-West Center(東西センター)の Governance and Disaster Managementプログラムディレクター。 都市環境に与える気候変動の影響、およびレジリエンスを基盤とした 災害マネジメント/人道支援プログラムの展開を専門とする。 米国Pacific Disaster Center の元センター長。
