| 建設現場で重機等に使用する軽油の代替燃料として、食品廃油から製造したバイオディーゼル燃料を適用し、地球温暖化対策として工事中のCO2排出量の削減に貢献した事業である。バイオディーゼル燃料の製造技術を独自に開発・改良し、従来技術よりも高効率で低コストの技術を用いて、軽油と同等の価格と品質をもつバイオディーゼル燃料を実現した。また、食品廃油の回収から再生、運搬、消費まで含めたトータルシステムを構築し、エネルギーの地産地消を実現した。さらに、多様な建設重機への適用を実現することで、汎用性の高い手法として提案した。以上のことから、土木学会環境賞の授賞に相応しいものと判断された。 | Establishment of a system of“ local production for local consumption of energy” by producing biodiesel fuel from locally collected used cooking oil for local construction sites thus realizing CO2 reduction and resource-recycling society at the same time. |
